Shinko – pH meter

Potential of Hydrogen (pH) is a measure of the activity of hydrogen ions (H +) in a solution. The pH indicates the acidity or base of a solution. Solutions with a pH less than 7 are acidic, pH greater than 7 is basic, and pH 7 is neutral. Most substances have a pH between 0 and 14.

According to the standard, the pH of water for domestic use is 6.0 – 8.5 and that of drinking water is 6.5 – 8.5.

Method of measuring pH of Shinko Technos sensor

– The pH is determined using two electrodes inside the sensor, a glass electrode and a reference electrode.
– Inside the sensor contains KCL solution, when the sensor is embedded in the solution to be measured, the KCL solution inside the sensor will slowly flow out and contact the measuring solution and 1 low voltage appears. The 2 electrodes in the sensor will determine that voltage.

The pH is affected by the temperature factor. Therefore, to increase measurement accuracy, inside the pH sensor, there is a built-in temperature measuring sensor Pt100 or Pt1000 for temperature compensation.
