DO (Dessolved Oxygen) is the amount of dissolved oxygen in water needed for the respiration of aquatic organisms. In water-soluble gases, dissolved oxygen plays a very important role. It is an indispensable condition for aerobic decomposition of microorganisms.<\/p>\n

When water is polluted by organic substances that are easily degraded by microorganisms, the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water will be consumed less, so the DO value will be lower than the saturated DO under such conditions. So DO is used as a parameter to evaluate the pollution level of organic matter of water sources.<\/p>\n

Dissolved oxygen is an important factor. Low dissolved oxygen can kill shrimp and fish. In water, concentration of dissolved oxygen needed for shrimp respiration is 5ppm. Oxygen concentration decreases gradually with depth.<\/p>\n

\nThe sensor is coated with fluorescent material. Blue light from the LEDs hits the fluorescent surface. Light is reflected back to the sensors, an increase in oxygen in the sample reduces the amount of light reaching the sensors.<\/p>\n
